It runs on natural gas, delivers 399k BTU and uses a copper heat exchanger.

What high altitude means here

Air thins as elevation rises, so a burner set up for sea level runs short of oxygen in the mountains and loses efficiency and output. This version is engineered for that thinner air, keeping combustion clean and heating output consistent at 2000 to 6000 ft.

Build

399k BTU capacity, electronic ignition, polymer headers on the water side and a copper heat exchanger, with 120/240V power. It is an atmospheric model, in the same family as the R206A.

Choosing the right part number

Raypak splits this heater by elevation. Part 009223 is the high altitude unit. For pools closer to sea level, at 0 to 2000 ft, the equivalent P-R406A-EN-C heater is part number 009219.
