When it goes, water escapes between the motor and the housing and runs down toward the motor, which is why a leak there should not be left alone.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhy the gaskets are included\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eGetting to the seal means opening the pump, so the housing and diffuser gaskets have to come off anyway.
