Above Ground Pool Winter Cover Size Chart

Order a winter cover by your pool's size, not the cover's. The cover is cut 3 to 4 ft wider than the pool so it drapes over the top rail: a 24 ft round pool takes a 27 or 28 ft cover, and a 15 x 30 ft oval an 18 x 33 or 19 x 34 ft cover. Between sizes, choose the next size up.

How to measure
- Measure straight across the pool through the center, rail to rail.
- On an oval, measure the width and the length at their widest points.
- Round to the pool size you bought, or choose the next size up.

Questions
Is the cover size the same as the pool size?
No. The cover size includes the overlap, 3 to 4 ft wider than the pool depending on the brand. Covers are sold by the pool size they fit, so order by your pool's size.
My pool is between two sizes. Which cover do I order?
The next size up. A little more overlap still cinches down with the cable; a cover that is short will not reach under the top rail.
Why do covers list different sizes for the same oval pool?
Brands label the same oval pool differently, 21 x 41, 21 x 42 or 21 x 43 ft for example. Our size pages group the labels whose covers leave at least 3 ft of overlap on that pool.
