Jandy

296 products

Jandy parts for filters, heaters, pumps, valves and automation, including JXi heaters, AquaPure and TruClear salt. Nearly all of them carry a number beginning with R, because Jandy, Polaris and Zodiac are one company and share a numbering scheme. That is also why a genuine Jandy part can arrive in a box that says Zodiac on it, which catches people out more often than anything else about this brand.

About Jandy

Filter parts, heater parts, pump parts, valve parts and valves, salt system parts and automation boards. Families you will see: JXi and Legacy heaters, AquaPure and TruClear salt, the CL and CV filters, and the never lube valves.

Polaris cleaners and their parts have their own pages, and if you are starting from the machine the finder on pool parts will get you there.

Questions about Jandy

Why does my Jandy part say Zodiac on it?

Because it is the same company and the packaging has never been consistent about it. Jandy, Polaris and Zodiac sit under one owner, parts are made on shared lines, and the name printed on a box is often the parent rather than the brand on your equipment. We correct this in our own catalogue rather than leaving you to work it out: where a product's label said Zodiac but the item is a Jandy or a Polaris one, we show the brand you would actually search for. A Zodiac box is not a sign you have been sent the wrong thing.

What does the R at the start of a Jandy number mean?

It is simply the house numbering, and it is nearly universal here: of the Jandy products we carry, roughly seven in ten have a number beginning with R followed by digits. So an R number on a part in your hand is a strong signal you are in the right brand, and a Jandy part without one is more likely to be something bought in, like a motor or a generic fitting. Search the number exactly as it is stamped, including any leading zeros, because they are part of it.

Jandy, Polaris or Zodiac: where should I look?

Look at the machine, not the paperwork. If it is a pressure side cleaner on its own booster line it is almost certainly a Polaris and its parts are on the Polaris pages. If it is a heater, a filter, a valve or an automation panel on the equipment pad, it is Jandy and it is here. Zodiac as a name on a label usually means the parent company rather than a third product line, so seeing it does not tell you which of the two you are dealing with.

Do I need the whole valve or just the parts inside?

Take the lid off and look at the diverter before ordering anything. A Jandy style valve is designed so the working parts come out from the top: the diverter itself, the seal that rides against the body, the o-ring under the cover and the handle. Those are the things that wear, and replacing them is a job you do without touching the pipework. Replace the whole valve when the body is cracked, when a threaded or glued port has failed, or when the seat the diverter rides on is worn rather than the diverter.
