The Jandy 4715 is a Neverlube 3-port diverter valve with 1-1/2 in. internal and 2 in. external ports, so it glues to either pipe size without adapters. The body is CPVC and the diverter carries a positive seal against the closed port.

Neverlube

Jandy builds the valve so the seal never needs lubrication. That is the difference between a valve that turns as easily in year five as it did on day one and one that has to be pulled apart and greased every season.

Diverting flow

A 3-way valve sends water to one port, the other, or both, which is how pool and spa systems switch between bodies of water, feed a water feature or route through solar panels. This one has no internal stops, so the handle is positioned by hand across its full travel. It can be fitted with the Jandy JVA 24V actuator for automation; the actuator is sold separately.
