Jandy 2 in. / 2-1/2 in. Check Valve

The Jandy 7305 is a spring loaded check valve with 2 in. internal and 2-1/2 in. external ports. That dual size port means one valve fits either pipe size: 2 in. pipe glues inside the port, 2-1/2 in. pipe glues over the outside.

Why a spring check valve

Water flows through in one direction. The moment the pump stops, the spring closes the valve so nothing drains back. That protects a heater from thermal siphoning, keeps solar panels from emptying into the pool, and stops chlorinated water from running back toward the equipment.

It is the genuine Jandy part. Replacement internal kits are available separately, and Jandy makes the same valve in 1-1/2 in. / 2 in. and 2-1/2 in. / 3 in. sizes if your plumbing calls for one of those.
