The Jandy R0452400 is the 14-blade, 3-port replacement salt cell for Jandy AquaPure and PureLink chlorine generators, the 1400 size rated for residential pools up to 40,000 gallons. It produces up to 1.25 lb of chlorine in 24 hours (567 g).

What Jandy lists for this part

Jandy's AquaPure and PureLink manual lists R0452400 as the 14-blade cell for the 3-port cell: the cell assembly, three #2-231 O-rings and a 16 ft black DC power cord. The universal union, tailpiece and plug kit is a separate Jandy part, R0452100, and the 3-port flow, temperature and salinity sensor is R0452500 (16 ft cable) or R0476400 (25 ft cable). Confirm what your pad already has before you order.

Fit

The 1400 cell is the one Jandy specifies for pools up to 40,000 gallons. Jandy's smaller 700 model is rated for pools up to 12,000 gallons, so size up to the 1400 for larger pools. PureLink power centers use a PLC700 or PLC1400 cell kit, and the power interface board is set to the 1400 model by default.

Cell care

The control system cleans the cell plates about every 3 hours by reversing the polarity of the current, and chlorine is still produced in reverse. Jandy recommends checking a new cell monthly for several months, then removing it for inspection at least twice a year. Scale on the plates is cleaned with a hose or the acid wash steps in the manual.

Is the sensor included?
No. R0452400 is the cell, three O-rings and the DC cord. The sensor (R0452500 with a 16 ft cord, R0476400 with 25 ft) is a separate Jandy part, or order the PLC1400 kit with sensor.
