The Jandy TRUGUARDR is the replacement mineral cartridge for the Jandy TruGuard mineral sanitizer. It is the genuine Jandy part.

Service life

A TruGuard cartridge is rated for six months or one pool season, whichever comes first, and Jandy states it should not be used for more than six continuous months. For most pools that means one cartridge per season, fitted at opening.

Before you order

This is the cartridge only. It fits the existing TruGuard housing and does not replace your primary sanitizer, so keep testing chlorine and balance as usual.

How long does a TruGuard cartridge last?
Six months or one pool season, whichever is shorter.
Can I leave it in over the winter?
No. Jandy says the cartridge should not be used for more than six continuous months. Remove it at closing and fit a new one at opening.
Is this the whole sanitizer?
No. This is the replacement cartridge only, for an existing Jandy TruGuard unit.
Does it replace chlorine?
The mineral cartridge works alongside your normal sanitizer. Keep testing and maintaining chlorine and balance as usual.
