Product details
The CMP Del Ozone MDV-10-08 is the standard size mixing de-gas vessel for the AOP 25 ozone system, sized for pools up to 25,000 gallons. It is the piece that finishes an AOP installation properly.
Why the vessel is there
An ozone generator always produces more gas than the water can absorb in one pass. Without somewhere for that surplus to go, it comes straight back out of the returns as visible, audible bubbles, and it collects under covers and inside plumbing where it slowly attacks the material. The vessel separates that off gas from the water and routes it into a granulated activated carbon cartridge, which destroys it. Because the surplus is handled safely, an oversized generator can be run deliberately for a wider disinfection margin and a bigger cut in chemical use.
Installation
The vessel is wall mount only. It plumbs with 3/4 inch PVC sockets, the outlet goes in after the heater, and the injector is supplied with it.
Before you order
This is the standard size unit for the AOP 25. It is not for use with the Next Gen AOP25, and the larger AOP 50 takes the XL version of the vessel instead.
