The CMP 27180-009-000 is a B-9 size skimmer basket, the common size shared by several skimmers from different manufacturers. It replaces the Hayward SPX1070E basket in the SP1070 Skim Master series, the Pentair Bermuda basket 516112 and the Sta-Rite U3 basket 08650-000.

Check the size

Baskets look alike and fit differently, so measure before ordering. This one is 8-5/16 in. across the top rim, 5-3/4 in. across the bottom and 5-3/16 in. tall. If your old basket matches those numbers, this one drops onto the same ledge.

Why replace it

A cracked or missing basket lets leaves and debris straight into the pump strainer, and a basket with a split rim can jam in the throat. A spare on the shelf is cheap insurance.
