Product details

The Aladdin B-168 is a replacement skimmer basket for the Hayward® SP1096C. It is a generic part rather than the factory basket, matched to the same dimensions: 5-9/16 inches across the top, 5-1/8 inches across the bottom and 3 inches tall.

What the basket does

Everything the skimmer pulls off the surface passes through this basket first. Leaves, bugs and grit collect here so they never reach the pump. When the basket cracks or loses a panel of mesh, that debris goes straight down the suction line to the pump strainer, and anything small enough carries on to the impeller.

Before you order

Skimmer baskets vary more than people expect, so pull the old one out and check it against the measurements above. The top outside diameter and the height are the two numbers that matter.
