Aladdin Magic Lube 5 oz. O-Ring Lubricant

Magic Lube is a PTFE based lubricant and sealant for the o-rings, gaskets and seals around a pool or spa. It forms a strong adhesive film that keeps mating surfaces from touching, even under severe shock loads, and it works in wet or dry conditions. This is the 5 oz. tube, Aladdin part 631.

Why PTFE and not petroleum

Petroleum based products corrode rubber, and many of the most common lubricants on the shelf are petroleum based. Magic Lube is not, which is why service techs carry it for every o-ring in and around the pool: pump lids, filter tanks, valves, unions and chlorinator caps.

Properties

Non-melting, non-volatile and waterproof, rated from -10°F to 425°F, chemical resistant, and rated by the USDA as environmentally safe. It is compatible with most metals, rubbers and plastics and is commonly used on motors, o-rings, gaskets, bearings and water filters.
