Quick overview

  • Bonds to almost anything poolside The nitrile rubber base grips most of the materials found around a swimming pool, vinyl included.
  • Stays flexible It cures flexible rather than brittle, so a joint that moves does not crack the repair open again.
  • Skins over in seconds Squeeze it on and you have a short window to flatten it with a wet finger before the surface sets.
  • Straight from the tube No gun and no mixing, the 4 oz. tube applies directly to the surface being sealed.
  • White Matched to white pool surfaces and fittings, with other colors sold separately.
  • Cure time follows thickness A thin bead is done in minutes, a heavy fill takes hours, so plan the fill depth around when you need the pool back.

Product details

Anderson Leakmaster FS4W is a 4 oz. tube of white flexible sealer built on a nitrile rubber base. It bonds to most of the materials you meet around a swimming pool, including vinyl, which rules out a lot of ordinary sealants.

How it handles

Squeeze it from the tube straight onto the surface being sealed. It skins over in seconds, so you get a short window to flatten and shape the bead with a wet finger before the surface sets. Full cure takes anywhere from minutes to hours according to how thick the application is, and it stays flexible once cured rather than going brittle.

Where it earns its keep

Flexibility is the point. Poolside joints move with temperature and load, and a rigid sealant cracks open at the first cycle. This one moves with the joint. It is sold here in white, and other colors are offered separately for matching different surfaces.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Will it stick to a vinyl liner?
Yes. The nitrile rubber base is made to bond to most materials found around a pool, and vinyl is called out specifically.
How long does it take to cure?
It skins over in seconds and cures in minutes to hours, depending on how thick you laid it on.
Can I smooth the bead after applying it?
Yes. It skins over in seconds, which gives you a short window to flatten it with a wet finger.
Does it stay flexible or go hard?
It cures and remains flexible, which is what keeps a repair on a joint that moves from splitting again.
