Boss Clear Silicone Sealant Tube, 3 oz.

Boss PLB103C is a clear RTV silicone sealant in a 3 oz. tube, the size that lives in a service tech's bag. It is meant for sealing up pool pumps, PVC fittings and the other small joints on an equipment pad that need a cured, flexible seal.

Where it earns its keep

RTV silicone cures at room temperature into a rubbery seal that stays flexible, which suits threaded fittings, housings and hairline gaps that a rigid adhesive would crack out of. Because it dries clear, a repair on white PVC or a pump body does not shout.

Sealant is not lubricant

O-rings that seal under compression, on pump lids, unions and filter tanks, want a lubricant such as Magic Lube, not sealant. Keep this tube for joints that need to set.
