Boxer Adhesives 104 is a vinyl adhesive supplied in a 4 oz. can. It is the glue side of a vinyl repair, used to bond patch material to a liner or to an above ground pool component.
Preparation decides the repair
Vinyl adhesive is unforgiving about surface condition. Oils, sunscreen residue, algae film and grit all stop the bond forming, and a patch applied over any of them will lift within weeks. Clean the area thoroughly, let it dry completely, and only then apply adhesive.
Patch technique
Cut the patch generously larger than the damage and round the corners. Square corners are lifting points, and a patch that starts to peel at one corner will keep going. Press from the center outward so no air is trapped, and give the adhesive the time on the label before putting the repair back under water pressure.
