Aladdin Magic Lube 1 oz. O-Ring Lubricant

Magic Lube is the tube most pool techs keep in the truck. It is a PTFE based lubricant and sealant for the o-rings, gaskets and bearings in pool and spa equipment, and it is not petroleum, which is the point.

Why not ordinary grease

Petroleum based products attack rubber, and many of the most common lubricants on the shelf are petroleum based. Use one on a pump lid o-ring and it swells, softens and fails. Magic Lube is PTFE based, so it is safe on rubber and compatible with most metals and plastics as well.

Properties

Waterproof, non-melting and non-volatile, with a working range of -10°F to 425°F in wet or dry service. It forms a durable, adhesive film that keeps surfaces apart even under severe shock loads, it is chemical resistant, and it carries a USDA H-1 rating. Common uses are pump lid o-rings, filter tank o-rings, gaskets, bearings, motors and water filters.
