Aladdin Equipment Co. Super Pump Rebuild Kit, GO-KIT3-9

The Aladdin Equipment Co. GO-KIT3-9 is a complete set of the four seals on a Hayward Super Pump wet end: the housing gasket, the diffuser gasket, the strainer lid gasket and the PS201 shaft seal. When a Super Pump drips from the housing seam, sucks air at the lid or weeps under the motor, this kit covers all of it in a single teardown.

What is in the box

One housing gasket sized to Hayward SPX1600T, one diffuser gasket sized to SPX1600R, one lid gasket sized to SPX1600S and one PS201 shaft seal. Each is an Aladdin aftermarket equivalent to the Hayward part number.

Doing the job once

The shaft seal is the part that fails most often, but reaching it means separating the motor and seal plate from the housing, which disturbs the housing and diffuser gaskets. Replacing all four while the pump is open avoids a second teardown a few weeks later. A thin coat of silicone lubricant on the rubber helps everything seat without pinching.
