What is in it
The kit contains the AS-200 mechanical shaft seal, the O-4 strainer o-ring, the O-368 housing o-ring and the O-453 lid o-ring. Between them, those four cover the pump from the lid down to the shaft.
Why buy the kit rather than one seal
The shaft seal is not reusable once the motor has been pulled, and an o-ring that has spent a few seasons compressed and baked does not reseat cleanly on reassembly.
