Product details

The SuperPro GO-KIT74 is the seal and gasket kit for Hayward Matrix above ground pool pumps. It gathers the four seals a Matrix needs for a motor swap or a rebuild into one part number.

What is in it

The kit contains the AS-200 mechanical shaft seal, the O-4 strainer o-ring, the O-368 housing o-ring and the O-453 lid o-ring. Between them, those four cover the pump from the lid down to the shaft.

Why buy the kit rather than one seal

The shaft seal is not reusable once the motor has been pulled, and an o-ring that has spent a few seasons compressed and baked does not reseat cleanly on reassembly. Fitting the pump back together with old rings is how a rebuild turns into a second teardown a week later. Everything comes apart at once, so everything goes back with new seals.

Do I need this if I am only replacing the motor?
