Product details

The Hayward SP1500UNPAK2C is the genuine set of flush union connectors for Power-Flo pumps. The connectors are 1-1/2 in. socket, so they solvent weld to standard 1-1/2 in. PVC and give the pump a detachable joint at each port.

Fit

They fit the Power-Flo SP1500 series and the Power-Flo II SP1700 and SP1700UN, and they are also used on the Power-Flo Matrix SP1590 series and the Super Spa SP-3500.

Why bother with unions

Once unions are in place, removing the pump is a matter of loosening two nuts. Motor changes, seal work and pulling the pump for winter all happen without cutting or regluing pipe. This pack includes connectors for both ports.

Which pumps do these fit?
Hayward Power-Flo SP1500 series pumps and the Power-Flo II SP1700 and SP1700UN. They are also used on the Power-Flo Matrix SP1590 series and the Super Spa SP-3500.
What pipe size do they take?
1-1/2 in. PVC. The pipe side is a socket that solvent welds to the pipe.
Is this one union or two?
It is a set, with connectors for both pump ports.
Why add unions to a Power-Flo?
With unions on both ports the pump comes off by loosening two nuts, so a motor swap or winter storage does not mean cutting and regluing pipe.
