The Hayward SPX0740BA is the key cover and handle assembly for the SP740DE, Hayward's 2 in. multiport valve for DE filters. It is the genuine Hayward part and ships with the valve seat gasket and the o-ring, so the valve can be sealed up again in the same job.

What it replaces

A cracked cover, a handle that has gone loose or brittle, or a top end that weeps at the cover are all fixed by swapping this assembly. The cover, key and handle come as one unit.

Before you order

Confirm the valve is the 2 in. SP740DE. The key stem underneath is a separate part, so if the valve has been hard to turn or will not hold position, inspect the stem while the cover is off.
