Product details

The Hayward FDXLHXA1250 is the genuine heat exchanger assembly for the H250FD, the 250 size in the Universal H-Series low NOx line of pool and spa heaters. It is the part that carries pool water across the burner heat, and it is the one you replace when the exchanger has failed from scale, chemistry damage or a freeze.

What you get

The complete exchanger assembly from Hayward, with 2 in. x 2 1/2 in. CPVC union plumbing connections. Because it is the OEM assembly it matches the H250FD without adapting anything. It meets low NOx emission standards for clean air compliance.

Before you order

Check that your heater is an H250FD. The other Universal H-Series FD sizes have their own exchanger part numbers. The assembly weighs 48.5 lb, so plan for the lift when you set it into the heater. Gasket kits and the header o-ring kit for the FD series are sold separately.
