Product details

The Hayward IDXL2BKP1930 is the control bezel and touchpad assembly for Hayward Low NOx pool heaters. It is the genuine Hayward part, supplied as the bezel and the membrane keypad together.

Why keypads fail

The control panel is the one part of a heater that gets handled every time somebody changes a setpoint, and it sits outdoors through every season. Sun, moisture and repeated pressing eventually break the membrane contacts. The heater still powers up and the display may still light, but the buttons stop registering. Replacing the assembly restores temperature setting, mode selection and the readout.

Check the date first

This assembly is for heaters manufactured after 8/19/2002. Hayward changed the design at that point, so read the manufacture date on the rating plate before ordering. It is shown on the parts diagram for the Hayward H-Series Low NOx models 250 and 400.

Will this fit my older Hayward heater?

Only if the heater was built after 8/19/2002. Hayward changed the assembly at that point, so check the manufacture date on the rating plate first.

Does it include the keypad or just the plastic bezel?

Both. IDXL2BKP1930 is supplied as the bezel and touchpad together.

Is this a genuine Hayward part?

Yes. It is the Hayward OEM assembly, part number IDXL2BKP1930.

My heater powers up but the buttons do nothing. Is this the fix?

That is the classic failed touchpad symptom. If the display lights and the heater responds to nothing you press, the keypad membrane is the usual cause.
