The Hayward FDXLBWR1930 is the combustion blower kit for the Universal H-Series Low NOx pool heaters. Hayward lists it against the H150FD, H200FD, H250FD, H300FD, H350FD and H400FD.

What the blower does

The combustion blower supplies air to the burner. Nothing else in the heater can start until it is turning, which is why a heater with a failed blower reads as a heater that simply will not fire. Owners often chase ignition parts first when the blower is the part that has stopped.

Why it wears

The blower runs on every call for heat, season after season, so on a heater with real hours on it the blower is a normal replacement rather than a surprise. Hayward supplies the part as a kit rather than a bare motor.
