Product details

The Hayward IDXMOD1930 is the ignition module for H-Series above ground pool heaters. It is the genuine Hayward replacement, the same control fitted at the factory.

What the module does

When the heater gets a call for heat, the ignition module runs the sequence: it purges, energizes the igniter, opens the gas valve and then watches for a proven flame. If it does not see that flame in the time allowed, it shuts the gas off again. Everything about a safe light off passes through this one board.

When to replace it

A heater that powers up, purges and then locks out without ever lighting is the classic symptom. Rule out gas supply and the igniter first, since those fail more often, then change the module. It mounts inside the heater control compartment and swaps directly for the old one.

My heater will not light. Is the module the problem?
It is one of the usual causes. If the heater powers up, calls for heat and purges but never establishes a flame, the ignition module is a prime suspect once gas supply and the igniter have been ruled out.
Does it come with wiring or an igniter?
