The Hayward UHXPOSHZ14008 is the 8 in. positive pressure indoor vent adapter for the Universal H-Series H400 pool heater. It is the genuine Hayward part for the indoor case.

Indoor heaters vent differently

A heater installed inside a building has to move its combustion products out through a vent system rather than straight up into open air. A positive pressure system uses the appliance to push the flue gases along that run, and the adapter is the piece that takes the heater outlet to an 8 in. vent connection so the rest of the system can be built off it.

The Universal H-Series

Hayward built the Universal H-Series to be adaptable at installation, and the vent adapters are part of that: the same heater can be set up outdoors or indoors depending on which components are fitted. This one covers the indoor, positive pressure, 8 in. configuration on the H400.

Before you order

Check that the heater is a Universal H-Series H400 and that the installation calls for an 8 in. positive pressure indoor vent. The adapter is supplied on its own; vent pipe and the remaining venting components are separate items.
