Product details

The Hayward HAXGSV0001 is the natural gas millivolt gas valve for H-Series pool heaters. It is the genuine Hayward part.

Millivolt, not electronic

A millivolt heater has no ignition board and no separate power supply for the gas control. The pilot flame heats a thermopile, the thermopile produces a small voltage, and that voltage is what holds and operates the gas valve. It is a simple, self powered arrangement, and this valve is the version built for it.

Fuel type matters

This is the natural gas valve. The propane valve is a different part and the two are not interchangeable. Read the fuel type off the rating plate on the heater before ordering, and confirm the heater is a millivolt model rather than an electronic ignition one.
