The Hayward IDXLFHA1930 is the genuine front header assembly for Hayward Low NOx pool heaters. It is the front water end of the heat exchanger, supplied as a complete assembly.
What the header does
Water leaves the plumbing, enters the header and is distributed into the heat exchanger tubes where it picks up heat. Because it handles the water directly, the header carries the full effect of pool chemistry. Low pH, high sanitizer levels and restricted flow all attack it, and the usual symptom is a leak at the front of the heater or visible corrosion around the casting.
