Hayward Pro-Grid 60 Sqft DE Pool Filter, Valve Not Included

The Hayward Pro-Grid W3DE6020 is the 60 square foot model in the Pro-Grid vertical grid DE filter line, sized for large residential pools, in-ground spas and pool and spa combinations, and light commercial work. It is sold here without a valve, so you can pair it with the multiport or slide valve that suits your plumbing.

Flow and filtration

Internal piping is 2 in. full flow for minimal resistance, and the residential flow rating is 150 GPM. The grid elements are built for up-flow filtration and top-down backwashing, and an inlet diffuser elbow spreads unfiltered water and fresh DE evenly across all of them.

Built for service

The tank is reinforced thermoplastic, rated for tough conditions including in-floor cleaning systems. A one piece, tamper proof flange clamp holds the tank top to the bottom and opens without disturbing the piping. The halves self align, the base is low profile and the grid nest has integral lift handles, so getting the elements out to hose them down is quick. A high capacity manual air relief valve bleeds air with a quarter turn.

Choosing a valve

The filter accepts four Hayward valves: SP0740DE Selecta-Flo 2 in. socket, SP0710XR50 Vari-Flo 1-1/2 in. NPT, SP0715XR50 Vari-Flo 2 in. NPT, or the SP0410X502S 2 in. socket slide valve. Match the valve to your pipe size and to whether you want a full multiport or a simple push-pull backwash.
