Product details

The Hayward DEX2420DC is the complete filter element cluster assembly for the DE2420 Pro-Grid vertical grid DE filter. It is the genuine Hayward part, supplied as the full grid set rather than an individual element.

Why the whole cluster

DE grids age together. When the fabric on one has torn, the rest of the set has taken the same years of pressure cycles, backwashes and chemistry. Replacing them one at a time usually means opening the filter again the following season. Fitting the complete cluster resets the filter in a single job.

The symptoms

DE powder coming back into the pool through the returns is the clearest sign of a failed grid. Water that stays hazy no matter how carefully the filter is charged, or pressure that climbs back up within days of a backwash, point the same way.
