Hayward Outlet Elbow O-Ring, 2-3/16" ID

The Hayward DEX2400Z5 is the rubber o-ring that seals the outlet elbow on Hayward Pro-Grid and Micro-Clear DE filters and SwimClear cartridge filters. It measures 2-3/16 in. inside diameter with a 3/32 in. cross section.

When to replace it

A slow drip at the outlet elbow after a filter clean, or a ring that has gone flat, hard or nicked, means it is time. The ring is inexpensive and takes minutes to change, so most techs swap it any time the elbow comes off.

Fitting tips

Clean the groove, apply a thin film of silicone o-ring lubricant and seat the ring evenly before reassembling. Avoid petroleum based lubricants, which swell and soften rubber.
