Product details

The Hayward CX900J is the E-ring used in the Star-Clear Plus cartridge filter range, covering the C751, C900, C1200, C1750 and C1900.

What it does

An E-ring is a retaining clip. It snaps into a machined groove and stops a shaft or pin from sliding out of position. It handles no water and takes no pressure directly, but the assembly it holds together does, so a lost or fatigued ring turns into a bigger problem quickly.

Ordering notes

Rings like this are the classic part to lose into the gravel halfway through a filter service, so a spare in the parts bin is worth having. Hayward also lists CX900J under its ProGrid DE separation tank DE-900 and DE-1100 parts group, so if that is your application, check the parts diagram for your tank first.
