The Hayward CX900J is the E-ring used in the Star-Clear Plus cartridge filter range, covering the C751, C900, C1200, C1750 and C1900.
What it does
An E-ring is a retaining clip. It snaps into a machined groove and stops a shaft or pin from sliding out of position. It handles no water and takes no pressure directly, but the assembly it holds together does, so a lost or fatigued ring turns into a bigger problem quickly.
