The Hayward CX2030Z3 is the air relief tube for SwimClear cartridge filters. It is the genuine Hayward part.
What it does
Water fills a cartridge tank from the bottom and air gets pushed to the top, where it sits above the water line as a pocket. The relief tube reaches up into that pocket so that opening the manual relief valve on the lid actually releases air rather than just water. Without it the tank runs with air trapped inside, which costs you filter area and can make the pressure gauge read oddly.
