Product details

The Hayward CX900DA is the knob accessory kit for Star-Clear cartridge filters. It gathers the small parts that live around the locking knob into one genuine Hayward kit.

What is in it

Two plastic washers, one o-ring, one guide cone and one e-clip.

Check your model

Two model lists are on record for this kit. It appears under the Super Star-Clear cartridge filter parts for the C-2000, C-3000, C-4000, C-4500, C-5000 and C-5500, and it also appears against the Star Clear Plus parts diagram covering the C751, C900, C1200, C1750 and C1900. Compare your filter model against both lists before ordering, since the two do not overlap.

Why it is sold as a kit

None of these pieces is expensive on its own, but an e-clip or a guide cone that has been dropped into a flower bed during a cartridge change will stop the knob assembling properly. Buying them as a set means the job is finished in one visit. The locking knob itself is a separate Hayward part.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

What comes in the kit?
Two plastic washers, one o-ring, one guide cone and one e-clip.
Which filters does it fit?
It is listed for Hayward Star-Clear cartridge filters. Two model lists are on record for it: Super Star-Clear C-2000, C-3000, C-4000, C-4500, C-5000 and C-5500 from the category listing, and Star Clear Plus C751, C900, C1200, C1750 and C1900 from the parts diagram. Check your model number against both before ordering.
Does the locking knob come with it?
No. This is the accessory kit of small parts. The locking knob is a separate Hayward part.
Why would I need this kit?
The washers, o-ring, guide cone and e-clip around the knob are easy to drop or lose while a filter is open, and they wear. The kit replaces the whole set in one order rather than chasing individual pieces.
