The Hayward CCX1000V is the manual air relief assembly, supplied with its o-ring. It is the genuine Hayward part, listed across three filter families: the XStream cartridge filters, the SwimClear cartridge filters and the Pro-Grid DE filters.
Why the relief matters
Air collects at the top of a filter tank every time the system is opened or loses prime. Trapped air keeps the tank from filling properly, makes the pressure gauge read something other than the truth, and in a DE filter can drive grids around inside the tank. The relief valve is how you let that air out, which is why it is the first thing you touch after any service.
The usual failure
Water weeping out around the relief on a filter top is almost always the valve stem or the o-ring that seals it. This assembly replaces both at once, which is simpler than trying to reseal a valve that has already been in service for years.
