Hayward DEX2400Z3A is the o-ring set for the air relief valve stem, supplied as a set of 3. It is the genuine Hayward part.
The failure it fixes
The air relief valve is opened and closed every time the filter is serviced, and the stem o-rings take that wear along with heat and chlorinated water. When they harden or split, the valve leaks with the handle closed. Water spits or sprays from the top of the filter while the pump runs, which owners often mistake for a cracked manifold or a failing tank.
Wide coverage
Hayward uses the same stem seal across several filter families: the Pro Series side mount sand filters, the Super Star Clear cartridge filters in both standard and stainless housings, and the Micro Clear DE filters. Before you start
Shut the system down and relieve the pressure before removing the stem. A filter under pressure will not let go of the assembly safely.
