Hayward OEM O-Ring, 6-3/4" ID

The Hayward GMX600F is the genuine 6-3/4 in. inside diameter o-ring used across most of the Hayward Pro Series sand filter range and on several Hayward pumps. It is 3/16 in. thick. On the sand filters it is the tank o-ring, the seal between the top mount multiport valve and the tank flange that the two piece clamp compresses.

Where it fits

Hayward lists it for the ProSeries and ProSeries Plus sand filters, including the S140T, S144T, S164T, S166T, S180T, S210T, S220T, S220T2, S230T, S244T, S244T2 and S270T top mount models, plus the S190T, S245T, GM195, GM225 and GM245, the VL210 series and the Swim Pro filters. The same ring is specified for the Max-Flo II SP2700X, Max-Flo XL SP2300X, Max-Flo XE, Max-Flo VS and Max-Flo VS500 Omni pumps and for NorthStar SP4000 and SP4000X pumps built in 2007 or earlier.

When to replace it

Any time the valve is lifted off the tank, and whenever water weeps at the clamp. A ring that has taken a set will not reseal reliably. Clean both mating faces, apply a light film of silicone o-ring lubricant and tighten the clamp evenly.
