The Hayward GMX600N is the metal flange valve clamp listed for the GM1426 and S140T sand filters. It is the genuine Hayward part.
What it does
On a top mount filter the valve does not thread into the tank. It sits on the tank flange against an o-ring, and a clamp band pulls the two together. That clamp is carrying the pressure of the whole system, which is why a corroded or cracked one shows up as a weep at the valve base long before it fails outright.

While the valve is off, look at the flange o-ring. A clamp that has rusted through has usually been leaking for a while, and refitting a new clamp over a flattened o-ring only moves the problem.
