The Hayward SX200K is the access cover for the S200 and S240 side mount sand filters. It is the part most parts lists also call the dome lid, and this is the genuine Hayward replacement.
What it does
The access cover closes the top opening of the filter tank. It is the one piece of the filter that gets taken off and put back by hand, whether you are adding sand, checking the bed, or opening the tank for service. Years of sun, chlorine and tightening leave it cracked, warped or seized, and once it stops sealing the filter cannot hold pressure.
Before you order
Check the model on the filter label, since this cover is made for the S200 and S240 tanks. If the old cover has been in place for a long time, a dome body wrench makes it far easier to break loose without damaging the tank.
