Product details
The Hayward SX244K is the top closure dome for Pro Series side mount sand filters. It is the genuine Hayward part, the same dome fitted at the factory.
What it does
The dome closes the top of the sand filter tank and carries the hardware that lives above it, including the manual air relief and the pressure gauge. It is a pressure part, so it has to be sound. Domes crack from age, from being over tightened, and from freeze damage when a filter was not drained properly at closing.
Fitment
Hayward lists this dome for the Pro Series side mount range, the S210S, S220S, S244S, S310S and S360S, and for the Pro Series Plus S311SX and S360SX. Check the model number on the filter label before ordering.
Sold on its own
The dome ships by itself. The o-ring, manual air relief cap, drain cap and gasket, and the pressure gauge are all separate Hayward part numbers, and it is worth replacing the o-ring while the filter is open.
