The Hayward SX210DA is the complete internal assembly for the S210T sand filter: the standpipe, the manifold and the laterals in one piece. Ten SC240DN laterals are included.
The measurements that confirm a match
Each lateral is 6-1/4 inches long, not counting the swivel end. The whole assembly measures 23-3/4 inches, and the top pipe on its own is 16-1/2 inches. That top pipe is 1-1/2 inch thinwall PVC, 1-7/8 inches on the outside diameter. The bottom hub assembly is stamped S202-EN, which is the fastest way to check what you have against what you are ordering.
Why it gets replaced
Laterals are slotted so water passes through and sand does not. When one cracks or a slot opens up, sand starts coming back to the pool, usually noticed right after a backwash. Because the laterals sit at the bottom of a filter full of sand, most people replace the whole assembly once the tank is empty rather than doing it twice.
