Product details

The Hayward SX310DA2 is the folding lateral assembly with center pipe for the Pro Series S310T sand filter. It is the genuine Hayward part: ten swivel style laterals on a 29-1/4 in. center pipe.

What it does

The laterals sit at the bottom of the sand bed and collect filtered water evenly from across the tank, then carry it up the center pipe to the valve. Even distribution is what lets the whole bed do its share of the work. When a lateral cracks, sand ends up back in the pool, and the assembly is the fix.

Installing it

The swivel laterals fold up against the pipe so the assembly fits through the tank opening, then swing out flat once it is inside. Set it in an empty tank, fill around it with sand and refit the valve. It is built from durable materials to last for years under sand and water.
