The Hayward SX311F is the replacement bulkhead fitting for Pro Series Plus side mount sand filters. It is the genuine Hayward part.

What it does

A bulkhead fitting is the sealed pass through where plumbing meets the filter tank. It has to hold pressure against the tank wall without distorting it, which is why a weeping bulkhead is replaced rather than cranked tighter. Overtightening a fitting to chase a drip is a common way to crack a tank.
