Product details

The Hayward CXFHR1001 is the lid o-ring for the SwimClear C100S, C150S and C200S cartridge filters. It is the genuine Hayward part.

What it does

This o-ring seals the joint between the filter head and the tank. When it flattens, cracks or dries out, the filter weeps water at the head, and under pressure that weep becomes a steady leak. A new o-ring, lightly coated with a silicone based lubricant, restores the seal.

Good practice

Look the o-ring over every time the head comes off for a cartridge clean. It is a cheap part, and replacing it early is far easier than chasing a leak later in the season.

Which filters does this o-ring fit?
It fits the Hayward SwimClear C100S, C150S and C200S cartridge filters.
Why is my SwimClear leaking at the head?
A flattened, cracked or dried out lid o-ring is the usual cause. Replacing it with a new CXFHR1001, lightly lubricated, restores the seal.
Do I need lubricant?
Yes, a silicone based o-ring lubricant. Do not use petroleum based grease, which attacks the rubber.
Is this the genuine Hayward part?
Yes. It is the original Hayward CXFHR1001 o-ring.
