The Hayward ECX27091 is the back mount pressure gauge used across the Hayward filter range. The stem leaves the back of the gauge rather than the side, which is how Hayward mounts it on many of its filter heads and air relief assemblies.
Why the gauge matters
Filter pressure is the cheapest reading you have of how dirty the media is. Note the pressure with a clean filter, then clean or backwash once it has climbed well above that. A gauge that sits at zero, sticks, or has fogged over tells you nothing, and filters routinely get run far too long behind a dead one.
Fitment
Hayward lists this gauge for SwimClear and Star-Clear cartridge filters, the Easy-Clear range, Pro-Grid and Regen X DE filters and the Perflex DE filters. Where a port will not take the gauge directly, a threaded adapter for the pressure gauge is available as a separate part.
