The Hayward ECX270861 is a bottom mount pressure gauge with a 1/4" connection and a 0-60 PSI face. It is the gauge Hayward uses across a wide part of the filter range.
Why the gauge matters
Filter maintenance is timed off pressure, not off the calendar. You note the clean pressure after a backwash or a cartridge clean, then service the filter again when the reading climbs a set amount above it. A gauge that sticks, fogs or fails to return to zero takes that reference away and leaves the filter running dirty or being cleaned for no reason.
Fitment
This is the bottom mount version, so the thread comes up into the gauge from below. It fits Hayward Pro Series sand filters, Star-Clear and Super Star-Clear cartridge filters, and Micro Clear DE filters. Check whether your port faces up or back before ordering, since the two styles are not interchangeable.
