Hayward CX250Z7 is the small o-ring that seals under the locking knob on a Star Clear or Star-Clear II cartridge filter dome lid. It is one of the parts that gets stretched and pinched every time the lid comes off for a cartridge clean, and one of the first places a filter starts to weep.
The same ring covers a wide span of the range. On the original Star Clear line it fits the C-250, C-500, C-750 and C-1000. On the Star-Clear II line it fits the C800, C1100 and C1500.
This is the genuine Hayward ring, so it seats at the right compression instead of squeezing out or leaving the knob loose. Wipe the groove clean, add a thin film of silicone based o-ring lubricant, and set the ring in dry hands before the knob goes back on.
