Product details

The Hayward DEX4800DC is the complete filter element cluster assembly for the Pro-Grid DE4820 DE filter. It is the genuine Hayward part and it comes as a finished assembly rather than a box of loose components.

What comes in it

All eight filter grids, the top manifold, the retainer rod and the bottom element locator. The grids stand 24 inches tall, which is the dimension to check against your filter before ordering.

Which filters it fits

It is the assembly for the Hayward Pro-Grid DE4820, and it fits a range of Hayward filters including the Micro-Clear 48 sqft DE filter. Both are 48 square foot vertical grid DE filters using the same 24 inch elements.

Whole cluster or single grids

Single grids can be replaced, and that is the right call when one has torn. Once several are damaged, or the manifold itself is cracked, the complete cluster is the better buy. It works out cheaper than buying the pieces separately and it leaves every element in the tank the same age, so they wear out together rather than one at a time.
