Is the pump included?
Yes. This is the complete system: the 100 sq ft ClearWater II cartridge filter and a 1.5 HP single speed pump, mounted together.
Does it need to be hard wired?
No. The pump has a 3 ft cord with a NEMA plug, so it plugs into a suitable outdoor outlet. Follow the manufacturer instructions and local electrical code for the circuit and GFCI protection.
How do I clean it?
Cartridge filters do not backwash. When the pressure gauge rises above its clean starting point, shut the pump off, open the tank, rinse the cartridge with a hose and reinstall it.
What does 0.95 THP mean?
Total horsepower is the motor rating multiplied by its service factor, and it is the number used for pump regulations in many states. The 1.5 HP label is the nameplate rating; 0.95 THP is the same pump expressed the regulatory way.
