Product details

The Waterway 542-3240 is the replacement skimmer basket for Renegade skimmers. It is the genuine Waterway part.

Dimensions

Top outside diameter 8 in., 7-13/16 in. across the top from flat side to flat side, 5-1/4 in. high, and 5-3/4 in. across the bottom. Measure your old basket against those figures if you are not sure which skimmer body you have.

What it does

The basket sits in the skimmer throat and catches leaves, bugs and larger debris before the water reaches the pump. It is the first line of defense for the pump strainer and impeller, which is why a basket with a split side or a broken rim is worth replacing straight away rather than at the end of the season.

Fitting

Lift the old basket out and drop the new one in. It fits Renegade gunite skimmers as well as the vinyl liner and fiberglass versions.
