Hayward Pool Skimmer Weir Flap Door 7-3/4 in.

The Hayward SPX1082K is the weir flap door for Hayward SP1080 series in-ground skimmers. It is the genuine Hayward part, 7-3/4 in. wide, and fits the SP1082, SP1084, SP1085-1 and SP1885-2.

What the weir does

The door swings inward as water flows into the skimmer, which speeds surface water over the lip and pulls floating debris in with it. When the pump stops, the door closes and keeps that debris in the basket instead of letting it drift back into the pool. A missing or broken weir is the usual reason a skimmer stops picking up leaves.

Before you order

Measure the throat of your skimmer. This door is 7-3/4 in. wide. The skimmer basket and deck lid are separate parts.
